Arrest/Fire Report – Monday, July 22, 2019

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals:

Craig Andrew Vinton, 27 of Crookston, for misdemeanor obstruction of the legal process for interfering with a peace officer.

Alfredo Torrez, 68 of East Grand Forks, for a gross misdemeanor traffic violation for driving after cancelation. Released on personal recognizance.

Brent Allen Carnes, 43 of East Grand Forks, for misdemeanor contempt of court, willful disobedience of a court mandate.

Kaitlin Marie Smith, 24 of Grand Forks, ND, for misdemeanor failure to appear.

Rebecca Bellanger, 50 of Hendrum, for misdemeanor failure to appear.  Charges dropped.

Coleton John Martin Mitthun, 26 of Pine City, for felony 1st-degree burglary of an occupied dwelling.

Megan Elyse Stromberg, 23 of Grand Forks, ND, for petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Released on personal recognizance. 

Nicole Erin Carlsen, 35 of Ada, for a felony probation violation.

Christopher Ryan Shappell, 30 of Fosston, for gross misdemeanor domestic abuse for violating order for protection.

Fire Calls:

At 8:05 Sunday evening, the Crookston Fire Department was called to the 500 block of 5^th Avenue NE for a beeping smoke detector, it was time to change the battery.
