The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals:
Cha Michael Delude, 43 of Crookston, for felony 5th-degree drug possession.
Samuel Phillip Betcher, 30 of Red Wing, for petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Released on personal recognizance.
Abdulfathah Abduwasi Abdulaziz, 30 of East Grand Forks, for a misdemeanor traffic violation for driving with more than one valid license. Released on personal recognizance.
Paustine Gesare Tsotse, 23 of East Grand Forks, for felony 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
Christine Marie Benjamin, 45, of Minnesota, for felony 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
Nathaniel Donald Brimson, 35 of East Grand Forks, for a felony probation violation.
The Crookston Fire Department responded to the following calls over the weekend:
3/6/2021
At 9:51 p.m. the CFD responded to Section 11 of Rome township to assist an individual with a controlled brush fire. CFD assisted with extinguishing the fire when the winds changed. No danger was present, and once the fire was extinguished CFD cleared the scene.
3/7/2021
At 7:00 p.m., CFD responded to the 200 block of Gorgas Ave for a burning complaint. Upon arrival, it was found that it was a recreational fire in the backyard. CFD talked with homeowners and everything was safe and in order. CFD cleared the scene.
At 8:43 p.m., CFD responded to the 1100 block of N Broadway for a smoke detector activation. Upon investigation, it was found that it was a faulty detector, and no danger was present. CFD cleared the scene.
