Fire calls:
On Tuesday at 9:39 a.m., the Crookston Fire Department responded to detectors going off on the 1100 block of Alexander. No danger was found, the detector had a bad battery.
At 2:37 p.m. they responded to a general fire alarm at Highland Elementary School, it turned out to be a fire drill.
At 5:17 p.m. they responded to a grass fire that was endangering buildings at 26151 170th Street Southwest. They extinguished the fire and turned it over to the party doing the burning.
