ARREST/FIRE REPORT-NOVEMBER 14

The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-

Jacob Wayne Solem, 40, of Crookston, for obstruction of the legal process and interfering with a Peace Officer.

Debra Yvonne Matson, 73, of Winger, for fourth-degree DUI.

Justin Lee Salveson, 36, of Crookston, for fleeing a Peace Officer by means other than a motor vehicle.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 11/13/2023 –

At 9:29 a.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of US Hwy 2 and US Hwy 75 for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the CFD assisted with the extraction of one individual from one of the vehicles. There were no injuries to report. The CFD then cleared the scene.

At 12:24 p.m., the CFD responded to the 700 block of N Main St. for a report of a gas smell. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated, and it was found that a gas can on the porch of the residence was ventilating into the house. There was no danger present. The CFD cleared the scene.

At 2:44 p.m., the CFD responded to the 200 block of E 3rd St. for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that the alarm had turned itself off. The CFD investigated, and no danger was present. The CFD talked with staff on scene and then cleared the scene.
