The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the following arrests.
Leonardo Benavidez, 26, no address provided, for Traffic Regulation-Uninsured Vehicle Driver
Rodney Lee Hiott, 36, of Arvilla, ND, for 3rd-Degree Drug Possession in a Public Housing/School Zone.
Timothy James Bridges, 32, of Climax, for Domestic Assault by Strangulation
Geri Louise Boadwine, 57, of De Smit, SD, for Driving After Suspension
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –
11/5/2022
At 8:00 a.m., the CFD responded to Hwy 2 in Kertsonville Township for a report of a vehicle hitting an animal. The CFD assisted in debris cleanup and traffic control. The CFD then cleared the scene.
11/6/2022
At 10:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 200 block of 5th Ave SW for a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD scanned the building, there was no clear source of what caused the alarm activation. The CFD believes the high winds caused the alarm to activate. There was no danger present, the CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
At 4:00 p.m., the CFD responded to section 24 of Lowell Township for a report of a motor vehicle going off the road. Upon arrival, the CFD assisted with traffic control, and a towing company arrived to get the vehicle back on the road. The CFD believes the accident was due to icy roads. Once the vehicle was back on the road, the CFD cleared the scene.
