ARREST/FIRE REPORT-OCTOBER 30

The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-

Steven Lee Bonham, 38, of Red Lake Falls, for disorderly conduct.

Brandon Daniel Kihne, 25, of Crookston, for second-degree DUI with two or more aggravating factors.

Desiree Lynn Vacura, 36, of East Grand Forks, for third-degree DUI.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –

At 2:03 p.m., the CFD responded to the 900 block of Fairfax Ave for a report of a porta-potty on fire. Upon arrival, the fire had spread to multiple porta-potties. The CFD was able to extinguish the fire. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD turned over control to the Crookston Police Department and cleared the scene. This fire is still under investigation.

10/30/2023

At 3:18 a.m., the CFD responded to the 200 block of State St. for a report of a Carbon Monoxide detector activation. Upon arrival, the CFD used gas monitoring tools, and no Carbon Monoxide was found. It was determined to be an old detector. The CFD informed the homeowner to replace the detector and then cleared the scene.

At 4:07 a.m., the CFD responded to the 300 block of S Minnesota St. for a report of a smoke detector activation. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated, and no danger was found. It was determined to be a faulty detector. The CFD turned over control to staff and cleared the scene.
