ARREST/FIRE Report – October 4, 2021

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the following arrests.

Catherine McKenzie, 49 (no address given) for Third-Degree DUI.

Brenton Troy Gerholdt, 36 of Oklee, for Third-Degree Drug Possession of Methamphetamine.

Richard Clayton Isom, 38 of Mandan North Dakota, for Third-Degree Drug Possession of Narcotics.

Stacy Ann Bowman, 38 of Fertile, for Third-Degree DUI.

John Anthony Anchondo, 23 of Crookston, for Driving after revocation of License.

Tyler John Motz, 35 of East Grand Forks, for Fifth-Degree Assault.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend – 

10/1/2021

At 4:09 p.m., the CFD responded to 1000 block of Alexander St. for a report of a fire in an apartment. Upon arrival, the fire was contained to one unit, and the CFD extinguished the fire. Upon investigation, the cause of the fire was determined to be an accidental cooking fire. CFD then cleared the scene.

At 4:58 p.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of Robert St. and Broadway for a two-vehicle accident. CFD assisted local agencies with traffic control and cleanup. CFD then cleared the scene.

At 6:41 p.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for an alarm activation. Upon investigation, it was found that burnt popcorn in the concession stand activated the alarm. There was no danger present, and the CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.

10/2/2021

At 8:03 p.m., the CFD responded to the area of the 700 block of Stuart Ave for a report of a strong burning smell. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated the area and did not find any danger. The CFD then cleared the scene.

10/3/2021

At 2:46 a.m., the CFD responded to the 500 block of Elm St. for a report of a strange smell in the residence. The CFD investigated with multiple monitoring devices and there was no danger present. The CFD then cleared the scene.
