The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the following arrests.
Jessica Lynn Fontaine, 22 of Grand Forks, for Third-Degree Drug Possession of Methamphetamine.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 9/2/2021 –
At 4:58 a.m., the CFD responded to a call on the 200 block of Spendley St for a sparking transformer. Upon arrival, it was found that a power service line running to a home was arcing. It was found that the cause was an overgrown tree that was touching the power line. The CFD provided light for Ottertail Power Company to trim the tree. Once the tree was trimmed away from the power line, the area was deemed safe, and CFD cleared the scene.
At 6:02 a.m., the CFD responded to Old Hwy 75 South by the railroad overpass for a downed tree obstructing the roadway. Upon arrival, the CFD assessed the tree, pulled it from the road, and cleaned up any remaining branches off the road. Once the road was clear, CFD cleared the scene.
