Fire calls:
At 8:05 Monday morning, the Crookston Fire Department was called to a two-vehicle head-on collision at the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and Polk County Highway 9 at the southwest corner of Crookston. They assisted with traffic control, clearing the road, and investigation. No information has been released by law enforcement at this time.
At 5:26 p.m., they were called to a grass fire just off of U.S Highway 75, about a mile and a half south of Euclid. The BNSF railroad crew reported that a controlled burn had gotten away from them. The fire crew extinguished the fire and returned to base.
