The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals:
Kailon Avory Graywater, 22 of Grand Forks, ND, for felony domestic abuse for violating an order for protection.
Preston James Busse, 25 of Thief Rivers Falls, for felony 1st-degree sale of 10 grams or more of cocaine, heroin, or meth within a 90-day period.
Bruce Larry Carter Jr., 35 of Thief River Falls, for felony 1st-degree sale of 10 grams or more of cocaine, heroin, or meth within a 90-day period.
The Crookston Fire Department responded to the following calls on 2/17/2021:
At 10:50 p.m., the CFD responded to a call at the 1900 block of Salstrom Dr. for a smell of natural gas. Upon investigation, CFD did not find any danger present. Great Plains Natural Gas was notified, and CFD cleared the scene.
At approximately 2:05 am on Thursday, February 18th, the Grand Forks Fire
Department was dispatched to 5680 East Prariewood Dr. for a report of a
structure fire.
Fire Crews arrived on the scene to find smoke showing from a two-story residential structure. Crews located and extinguished a fire in the attached garage of the home. Fire and smoke damage was contained to the garage and are estimated at $50,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and the occupants were allowed back into their home early Thursday morning.
The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with five engines, one truck, and
one command vehicle with twenty-one personnel. There were no injuries to the
occupants or fire service personnel. The Fire Department was assisted by the
Grand Forks Police Department and Altru Ambulance.
