Arrest/Fire Report – Thursday, March 18, 2021

The Crookston Fire Department responded to the following calls on 3/17/2021:

At 12:15 p.m., the CFD responded to the 700 block of Summit Ave for an alarm activation. CFD investigated with staff and determined it was an alarm malfunction. No danger was present and CFD cleared the scene.

At 12:28 p.m., the CFD responded to the 500 block of Strander Ave for an alarm activation. Upon arrival, the owner of the building was on scene and informed the CFD that some product had fallen on the wood stove which caused the alarm to activate. CFD ventilated the building and turned control over to the owner and cleared the scene.

At 1:12 p.m., the CFD responded to the 300 block of Lincoln Ave for a carbon monoxide detector activation. Upon investigation, there were higher levels of CO present. It determined the cause was from a water heater. CFD informed the homeowners and cleared the scene.
