Arrest/Fire Report – Tuesday, February 5, 2019

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals:

Gregory Werdin Borth, 48 for felony failure to appear – charged or convicted of felony.

Fire Calls – 

The Crookston Fire Department was called to the 700 block of Groveland Friday morning at 10:17 a.m. for a strange smell. Roof vents were plugged, causing sewer gasses to back up into the house. The vents were cleared.

At 4:51 p.m. Friday, they were called to the 200 block of South Ash for broken water pipes. They shut off the water and electricity, then left it for the owner to get repaired.

At 6:22 p.m., they were called to the 200 block of East 3rd, a dirty detector set off the smoke alarm.

On Sunday at 12:10 in the afternoon they responded to a one-vehicle rollover in Section 14 of Lowell Township, everyone was okay.

At 2:38 p.m. Monday, they were called for a carbon monoxide alarm on the 900 block of 3rd Avenue NorthEast. Low levels were traced to a garden tractor left running in an attached garage with doors closed. The house was ventilated.

At 5:37 p.m. Monday evening they responded to Evergreen Hall at UMC where cooking smoke set off the smoke alarm.
