Arrest/Fire Report – Wednesday, November 4, 2020

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals:

Eric John Ambuehl, 50 of Crookston, for misdemeanor contempt of court for resistance to court process or mandate.


The Crookston Fire Department responded to the following calls on 11/03/2020

At 11:08 am, the CFD was called to the 200 block of Leonard Ave for concern of an electrical transformer making a loud pop. Upon investigation, it was found that the transformer had blown. No fire or danger was present.

At 12:38 pm. the CFD was called to Section 8 of Vineland township for a small ditch fire between Eldred and Climax. The fire was extinguished and CFD cleared the scene.

At 3:28 pm, the CFD was called to Section 4 of Russia township, to help assist a permitted controlled burn. The individual who started the burn was worried it was burning too fast and wanted CFD present to prevent any possible danger. 

At 5:23 am, the CFD was called to the 100 block of Sargent St for an alarm activation. Upon investigation, no cause was found and no danger was present. Turned control over to maintenance and cleared the scene.
