AUGUSTANA EXPLODES FOR NINE GOALS TO DEFEAT UMC WOMEN’S SOCCER 9-0

Augustana University of Sioux Falls, S.D. set three school records this afternoon defeating the University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) at the UMC Women’s Soccer Field in Crookston. The Northern Sun Conference match saw the Vikings score three times in the first eight and a half minutes of the match led by Alexis Legg and Morgan Keirstead with two goals and two assists in the game. Augustana set a school record for most goals scored in a match, 11 assists in a match, and 52 shots also a new school record. In comparison, the Golden Eagles managed just one shot in the contest. UMC is 1-8 overall and 1-5 in the conference while Augustana is 4-3-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the conference.
UMC will be home again this coming weekend, hosting St. Cloud State on Friday at 3:00 PM and Minnesota Duluth on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Both matches are celebrating Student Body and Alumni Weekend.
