The Crookston Matrons recently purchased a child-friendly bench utilizing a matching grant from the Downtown Crookston Development Partnership (DCDP). The bench has been installed by the City of Crookston in front of the Grand Theatre, near the entrance to Central Park. Matrons was established in 1901 as a service group focused on mothers with children.
Maze Cordell Thompson, 79, Fertile, MN passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born to Hans and Mary (Rarick) Thompson on January 4, 1942, just yards from where he passed at the family farm in Woodside Township near Fertile. He was baptized and confirmed at Maple
Longtime Crookston Pirate Track Coach and current volunteer coach, Harley Stahlecker has won the Section 8A Track Volunteer of the year. The 85-year-old Stahlecker has been the Pirate hurdler coach for many years and is sending two more hurdlers to state on Friday.
