Altru began administering second doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine to employees Wednesday, January 6. Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have been administered to its employees. About 60 percent of staff have received the first COVID-19 vaccine dose at Altru with 524 staff members receiving their second dose by the end of this week.

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 2,109 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, 278 probable cases from antigen testing, and 48 deaths. The confirmed cases were found in 43,978 completed tests for a positive rate of 4.8 percent. Roseau County had 7 confirmed cases, Kittson County-5 cases and 1 death (85-89 years), Polk County-4 cases
