HIGHWAY 220 CLOSURE NORTH OF OLSO EXPANDS AS WATER LEVEL KEEPS RISING

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has expanded the road closure on Highway 220 north of Oslo. The road is now closed between Highway 1 and Highway 11. RED LAKE RIVER HAS CRESTED IN CROOKSTON, WARD COMMAND POSTS/EOC REMAIN ACTIVE

The National Weather Service announced today that they have determined the Red Lake River crested in Crookston Monday evening at 24.66 feet.  The river has dropped two feet since then to 22.65 feet at 11:30 a.m. today.  The 24.66-foot crest is the 11th highest crest on record in Crookston.  The Crookston Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
