The sixth-grade students at Highland Elementary all completed their truss bridges with great results. There were several exceptional structures built including six that held more than 150 lbs and two holding over 200 lbs. Naomi Olson and Madison Halland’s bridge held 205 lbs. while Maddie Harbott and Jezebel Vega built a bridge that held 300.8
The Washington and Highland PTOs (Parent Teacher Organizations) have been working on a project to help boost “Pirate Pride” in the Crookston Public Elementary Schools.
