Merlin Stone, age 75, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Friday, January 10th, at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18th, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mentor with Father Larry Delany and Father Dave Super Concelebrating. On Saturday, January 11, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a residential structure fire in Euclid Township. The fire is believed to have originated with a wood stove located in the attached garage. When Deputies arrived, the garage was fully engulfed, and the fire had begun spreading to the attached house.
