The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following- Ivan Jerrier Nieves Rojas, 34, of Thief River Falls, for Traffic DUI (operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a hazardous substance). Monte William Parisian, 23, of Wabun, for traffic DUI.
The Crookston Pirate Boys and Girls Track teams competed in the Section 8A True Team Track and Field meet in International Falls. 17 of the 18 events were completed. Due to the rain, the pole vault wasn’t held because of safety concerns, so the teams will conduct the pole vault at their own facilities on
The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team had six student-athletes named to the All-NSIC Teams. Jake Hjelle (Sr., East Grand Forks) and Teddy Giefer (Sr., Courtland) were named to the All-NSIC First Team. The Polk County Commissioners met on Tuesday at the Polk County Government Center.
