Due to weather and safe field conditions, Crookston Spring Soccer will now start on Monday, May 6 (instead of Wednesday, May 1). The new Location is the UMC Widseth Field (painted for soccer) due to construction at Crookston High School. An email with information has been sent to participants.
The city of Crookston is moving forward with updating its campsite at Crookston Central Park Campgrounds. The city of Crookston and city council members have formulated a redevelopment plan for Central Park, which includes four additional campsites and a bathhouse. Yvonne Stella Johnson, 88, Alexandria, MN, formerly of Halstad, MN, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Knute-Nelson in Alexandria. She was born on November 26, 1935, to Stella (Huseby) Thompson in Minneapolis. Yvonne was raised in Hendrum by her grandmother, Emma Huseby, graduating from Hendrum High School. Richard A. Nelson, 91, Fertile, MN, passed away early on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Richard Allen Nelson was born on December 12, 1932, to Erik and Helen (Hansen) Nelson in Little Falls, MN. Richard moved to Fertile early in his life to haul hay for Bill Peterson.
