Janie Regan won the KROX Radio Crookston High School Pick the Score contest. Throughout the week, KROX gave listeners a chance to pick the score of the homecoming game against Warroad. The Section 8A Girls Tennis tournament seeding meeting was held in Mahnomen on Friday, and the coaches hammered out the seeds for the team and individual tournaments. The Warroad Warriors dominated the second half, beating the Crookston Pirate Football team 37-6 to spoil homecoming in a Section 8AA match-up in Crookston. 1st Quarter – Crookston received the opening kickoff and went to the ground to start the game. Carter Coauette had a carry for two yards, and Lionel Luna carried four yards.
Raymond Stromstad, age 93, died peacefully on his farm on September 30, 2023. Raymond was born on June 30, 1930 in Crookston, Minnesota. He was the son of Theodore and Helen Stromstad.
