The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s basketball team announced the signing of seven student-athletes for their 2026 signing class. The class is the largest of Head Coach Natalie Moynihan’s time as head coach and the largest for the program since signing seven in 2022. The success of parents, teachers and students working together was shown in the November 10-21 Read-A-Thon held at the Highland Elementary School and Washington Early Childhood School in Crookston. Highland’s 500 K-5 students logged 3,603 hours—216,196 minutes—of reading, and 104 pre-school students at Washington booked 401 hours—24,038 minutes—of reading. Collectively, 69 students read over 13
Crookston Fire Calls Fire Report TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25At 3:15 pm, the Crookston fire department responded to a motor vehicle accident on the 400th block of Washington. They performed a standard battery disconnect on scene, before turning it over to law enforcement and the towing company.
