BASKET HANGNING HAS BEGUN FOR THE 15TH ANNUAL ADOPT-A-BASKET PROGRAM

The Crookston Area Chamber of Commerce has started hanging baskets for its 15th Annual Adopt-A-Basket program. The program is a great way to help make Crookston a beautiful place to live.

D&D Thomforde’s Garden Center will be in charge of growing the baskets. Then, throughout the summer, the City of Crookston staff will water the flowers. The Chamber of Commerce will sell baskets at $75 for one and $140 for two.

Crookston Area Chamber of Commerce Board Member Hallie Fischer provides some additional details on the Adopt-A-Basket program: “We do it every spring, and we send out an application/order form for businesses or individuals to purchase a basket either for their business or to honor a loved one, or just as a donation from them or their family.”

The deadline to order the flowers was initially set for Friday, June 7, but the Chamber of Commerce may extend that deadline to next week to allow more people to place last-minute orders.
