BONE FOUND IN BRISLET TOWNSHIP CONFIRMED TO BE A HUMAN BONE

A bone discovered on Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Brislet Township (between Warren and Angus) was sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension lab for DNA testing.  The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said the BCA has confirmed the bone is human and from a male.  Test results will be compared to the missing person database.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has received information that two males were buried near the location of the discovered bone around 1900 as the Melo Church was going to be built there, but was later built in a different location.  No further information is being released at this time.
