The Crookston Pirate Boys and Girls Track and Field teams competed at the Section 8A Track and Field meet in Ada today and the girls will advance two in four events to the Minnesota State High School League State Track and Field meet.  

GIRLS
Breanna Kressin won the 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles while finishing second place in the 200-meter dash and will advance to state in all three events.

Cassie Solheim will advance to the state meet after a second-place finish in the long jump.  She also finished fifth in the 200 meters and was on the sixth place 4×200 relay.

Hayden Winjum finished fourth place in the triple jump, sixth place in the 400 meters, and was on the sixth place 4×200 relay.

Halle Winjum finished fifth in the pole vault with a personal-best vault of eight feet and 10 inches. She was on the fifth-place 4×100, and the sixth place 4×200 relay team.

BOYS
Crookston had two relays place in the meet.  Brady Wisk, Carter Coauette, Caden Boike, and Ethan Boll finished fifth in the 4×100 relay and sixth place in the 4×200 relays.  

Carter Coauette had a great race in the 400 meters with a sixth-place finish to earn a medal.
