The Crookston Pirate Wrestling team had six wrestlers compete in the Purple Pride Invitational in Albany, with Carter Coauette winning the championship at 172 pounds and Riley Helgeson finishing third at heavyweight.
Crookston finished eighth out of nine teams with 52.5 points. New London-Spicer won the meet with 199 points, 13 points better than Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus.
