POLK COUNTY HAS 5 MORE CONFIRMED COVID CASES; MN REPORTS 1,794 CASES, 10 DEATHS

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,794 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday, 373 probable cases from antigen testing, and 10 deaths. The confirmed cases were the result of 43,191 completed tests for a positive rate of 4.2 percent. Roseau County had 12 confirmed cases, Polk County-5 cases, Lake of the Woods County-2 cases,

TURKEY VISITS WOODS ADDITION FRIDAY MORNING

A turkey was wandering through the north part of the Woods Addition mid-morning on Friday. Minnesota is in the second of six spring turkey hunting periods which may have led the turkey into a residential area.

SPEECH AND FFA STATE SENDOFF AT CROOKSTON HIGH SCHOOL

Crookston High School held a sendoff for the Crookston FFA State Participants and the Crookston Speech State Participants on Friday. Crookston FFA members are participating in State FFA in several virtual competitions this week and next. State Speech will be held Saturday morning.
