The Crookston Speech team competed in the Section Tournament on Tuesday with four of the nine speakers advancing to the State Tournament. Sophia and Samantha Rezac took 1st place in Duo Interpretation, Victoria Proulx took 1st place in Storytelling, and Zara Baig took 3rd place in Humorous Interpretation. The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 1,438 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, 227 probable cases from antigen testing, and 16 deaths. The confirmed cases are the result of 20,185 completed tests for a positive rate of 7.1 percent. Kittson County had 10 confirmed cases, Marshall County-2 cases, Polk County-2 cases, and Roseau County-1 case.
The Fertile-Beltrami School Board voted last night to co-op with Crookston in boy’s hockey, becoming the second school to join Crookston this spring following Sacred Heart.
