Arrest/Fire Report – Friday, February 22, 2019

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals: Garrett Mathew Becker, 35 of Crookston, for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.  Released on personal recognizance.  Roland Edward Vanderplaats, 71 of Bejeu, for felony terroristic threats causing or attempting to cause terror.

LICENSING FEE CHANGES MADE TO CHILDCARE, CORPORATE FOSTER CARE

The Polk County Commissioners have approved fee increases to the licensing fees for childcare and corporate foster care.  The changes were precipitated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) taking over the responsibility of conducting background checks as the county’s will no longer be able to collect fees on background checks explains Polk County
