The Crookston Police Department’s new police officer, Robert Haugen, officially started working on Monday, June 17. Haugen, originally from Sioux Falls, graduated from Fosston High School before earning an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Northland Community & Technical College. CITY OF CROOKSTON IS LOOKING TO APPOINT A WARD 5 COUNCIL MEMBER
The City of Crookston is seeking a citizen of Ward 5 to be appointed as the Ward 5 Council Member. This appointment will be short-term through December 31, 2024. The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the arrest of the following over the weekend – Pablo Salinas Jr., 21, of Crookston, for Burglary in the first degree, assault person in building/on property. Steven Paul Fjerstad, 71, of Fosston, for DUI in the third degree, driving while impaired and refusal to submit a chemical test.
