Fire Calls: The Crookston Fire Department held their monthly training on Thursday evening, then were called out at 8:40 p.m. to a home in Gentilly for a report of smoke in the basement. The investigation found no issues, and the matter was turned over to the homeowner.

On arrival, they found that the operator had made it to the yard and put the fire out with a garden hose; so they investigated, did paperwork, and left it for the owner
