The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s golf team was picked to finish 12th in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) women’s golf poll released last week by the conference office. The Golden Eagles received 13 votes in the poll. Newcomer Camryn Larson (Fr., Fertile) was picked as the Player to Watch for the Golden Eagles.

Pirate Girls Tennis Win 1, Lose 2 at Park Rapids Triangular

The Crookston Pirate Girls Tennis team beat Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 5-2, and lost to Pequot Lakes 4-0 (in a rain-shortened match) and Park Rapids 5-2 at the Park Rapids quadrangular at the Depot Courts in Park Rapids.  The Pirates were missing five girls that were with the Crookston High School Marching Band at the Minnesota

Pirate Girls Swimmers Finish 3rd At Pentathlon Meet

The Crookston Pirates finished third out of seven teams at the Detroit Lakes Pentathlon meet at the Detroit Lakes Aquatic Center.  Detroit Lakes won the event easily with 545 points, doubling the runner-up Fergus Falls’ 209.5 points.  Crookston had 108.
