Cathedral’s Annual Fall Festival is Sunday, October 20

The Cathedral Parish’s Annual Fall Festival is coming up this Sunday, October 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Neal Plante and Msrg. David Baumgartner stopped by the station to tell us about the event.  “Well, we have our Annual Fall Festival to support the parish and activities,” said Plante. “It is a very nice event put on by many volunteers.”

Msrg. Baumgartner mentioned some of the wonderful activities that will be available at the Festival. “We have children’s games, and we have a country store with baked goods and candies,” says Baumgartner. The meal is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and it is a KC (Knights of Columbus) fish fry or rib dinner.”

Plante said there will be a handful of carnival-like events. “We are going to have balloon pop, there is going to be a corn maze, corn hole games, ax throwing, and popcorn and apple cider treats,” said Plant. “Also, there is going to be a wood carving area that is really something the kids like to do.”

Msrg. Baumgartner added that there are some old favorites and some new things for the kids to do. “We have face painting and a photo booth. Last year was the first year of the wood carving shop, a little woodworking station that was a big hit last year, so we are looking forward to that again.”

Plante says there is a drive-up option for the Fall Festival Dinner. “Just like we’ve had with our famous Lenten Dinners for the Knights of Columbus, we will have the drive-thru on Summit,” said Plante.  “We will have it marked off, and then we will have runners to take your order and bring your meal to you in a timely manner.” The cost of the dinner is $20.00.  You can get an extra fish fillet for $7.00, and Kids 12 and under eat for $10.

There will also be a silent auction and raffles going on during the Fall Festival.  Raffle Prizes include gift cards for Hugo’s, Walmart, and M&H. There is also a cash raffle.  There is a big money raffle; those tickets are $100 tickets with a grand prize of $5,000 and a gun raffle.

Join Cathedral Parish for their Annual Fall Festival on Sunday, October 20, at 702 Summit Avenue. Festival Booths open at 10:00 a.m. Dinner will be served starting at 11:00 a.m.  You can call Call 218-281-1735 for tickets or information.
