The final event of the Celebrate the Young Child Collaborative’s “Imagine If You Were…..” series finished on Tuesday in Castle Park with the theme being “Imagine If You Were….. Going on a Bear Hunt” with the Crookston Alliance for Literacy and Learning (C.A.L.L.) Committee, Crookston Public Schools, Early Childhood Family Education, Polk County Public Health, Crookston Public Library, RiverView Health, Head Start Child and Family Programs, and the One Vegetable, One Community all coming together to set up fun stations for children ages birth to eight.

The stations included a scavenger hunt around the entire park, a yoga and dance area, arts and crafts, making their own bag of Trail Mix, and going on their own “Bear Hunt” around the woods in the park. Families were also provided with a bagged meal containing a turkey sandwich, fruit and a green bean provided by the One Vegetable, One Community organization. At the end, the children also received a free copy of the book Going On a Bear Hunt that they were allowed to take home with them.
