CELEBRATE THE YOUNG CHILD COLLABORATIVE HOLDS FIRST EVENT OF THE YEAR

The Celebrate the Young Child Collaborative held its first of three events this year on Monday evening at Castle Park. This year, they are focusing on the importance of play in the life of every child. Play is how children learn best – learning to be creative, problem-solve, and interact with others, just to name a few.

Families with children ages birth to five were encouraged to enjoy Castle Park’s amazing natural play space, make mud pies, go on a scavenger hunt through the woods, an obstacle course, and more.
Thanks to a Thrivent Financial grant, a light meal was served. The collaborative greatly thanks Miss Crookston Halle Winjum, Crookston ECFE, Tri-Valley Head Start, RiverView Health, CALL committee, Our Saviors Lutheran School, and the Crookston Public Library.
