The Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority held a special meeting on Monday morning to approve a purchase agreement on the 1410 Eickhof Boulevard home with a family that is moving to town.
The home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a two-car heated garage, and a patio. It is 2,112 square feet in total, with 1,392 finished square feet, on an 88.5’ by 126’ lot. Jeff Fagerstrom was the general contractor, and Barry Bingham/Bingham Construction was the builder.
The agreed purchase price was $378,500 with a family that will be moving to town to be closer to family. The proposed signing date is August 23. “This is a great opportunity as they are coming from a pretty good distance to be with family,” said Housing Director Theresa Tahran. “Their kids will be enrolled in the school district and that is kind of why we have the closing in late August so their kids can get enrolled, look at the school district and everything else.”
The City of Crookston/CHEDA still has four lots in the Eickhof Subdivision available. “We still have four lots,” said Tahran. “We are waiting to decide if we are going to build another one this fall or wait a year. If you’re interested in one of the lots, we will keep you posted as to whether we are going to build or sell those lots.”
