CHILD CARE MEETING SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY NIGHT

The City of Crookston has scheduled a child care meeting for Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.  The meeting will be moderated by Dan Svedarsky and will begin with Mayor Guy Martin providing an overview of where the City has been, identifying some site options and operational considerations. 

Kim Feiro will then speak on her personal experiences in operation a home child care, legal requirements, myths, and facts.  Sue Murphy will talk about the Sunrise Center as an example of a facility closely associated with a school.  And Soo-Yim Lim Thompson and Tu Sommerfeld will provide an overview of the UMC Early Childhood Development Center as a community resource. 

Craig Hoiseth will then provide an update on the Marywood (Glenmore) prospects and Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority involvement before a general discussion.
