On Sunday, January 26 at approximately 7:20 p.m., The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to 37853 200th AVE SE in rural Erskine for a report of a possible chimney fire. Upon arrival, deputies saw smoke coming from the chimney and roof of the house. The owner of the house was home and was not injured during this incident. Erskine Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. There was minor damage to the home and no one was injured as a result of the chimney fire. No other information will be released at this time.
Also responding to this incident were the Erskine Fire Department and Essentia Ambulance service.
