City of Crookston issues temporary no parking order for a portion of Barrette Street beginning May 31

The City of Crookston announced Tuesday that a temporary no parking order will be in effect along the east side of Barrette Street from Central Avenue to Summit Avenue beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, through 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

This temporary restriction is necessary to allow for street sweeping, project installation, volunteer painting activities, and cleanup associated with the City of Crookston’s Active Transportation Demonstration Project.

City crews, planning consultants, and volunteers will be working in the area throughout the day on Monday, June 1. Residents may experience temporary traffic delays, lane shifts, and limited parking access during the project.

Residents are asked to please remove all vehicles from the posted area by 7:00 p.m. Sunday and to utilize alternate parking locations during this time. Vehicles left in the posted area may be towed to allow work activities to proceed safely and efficiently.

City officials appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation while this demonstration project is completed.
