CITY OF CROOKSTON OFFERING SANDBAGS TO THE PUBLIC

The public is welcome and encouraged to take sandbags and plastic free of charge.  Sandbags and plastic from the following locations WERE NOT in contact with river water:

  • Trinity Church parking lot (205 South Broadway St.)
  • South Broadway St. and Houston Ave. intersection

Sandbags from the following locations may have or were in contact with river water:

  • Pine Street near W. 5th Street
  • Crookston Public Library (110 North Ash Street)
  • East Robert Street on the south side of the East Robert bridge.
  • Riverside Ave. (400 & 500 block)

While handling sandbags that may have been in contact with river water, we ask the public to wear gloves and to thoroughly wash your hands when finished.  Removal, loading, and unloading is at the expense and risk of each person.  The City of Crookston assumes no responsibility or liability with respect to the removal of sand, sandbags, and/or plastic.
