CITY OF CROOKSTON RECEIVES “PEOPLE’S CHOICE BEST TASTING DRINKING WATER AWARD”

On Monday night representatives from the Minnesota Section of American Water Works Association presented the City of Crookston with the “People’s Choice Award” for best tasting drinking water in Minnesota at the Minnesota State Fair.  Crookston was also selected as the best tasting drinking water by the WCCO hosts Paul Douglas and Jordana Green and their audience during an interview about water quality.

Public Works Director Pat Kelly accepted the award and said it was a proud moment for the staff who do an excellent job. “It is a proud moment for our staff,” said Kelly.  “Our employees do an excellent job and it’s good to see that their efforts have really paid off.  It’s a nice thing to get an award at the State Fair from the AWWA in a competition head-to-head against everybody.  It just shows the quality of water we have and that’s because of the people we have working for us.”
