CITY OF CROOKSTON REOPENS THE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER

As a result of the recent precipitation the Crookston area has received over the last couple of days, the Red Lake River level at Crookston is currently (2:30 p.m. on May 10) at 20.62 feet and is expected to rise slowly.  Additional precipitation is anticipated over the next couple of days.  The Crookston Emergency Operation Center will be opening this afternoon and will constantly monitor river levels, levee systems, and future weather predictions.

The City of Crookston is reminding residents to please stay away from and off of the levee systems and temporary clay/sandbag embankments.

For additional information and/or to report any high-water concerns, please call the Emergency Operation Center at 218-281-4363 or 218-281-4383.
