CITY OF CROOKSTON TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETINGS MONDAY JULY 19 IN REGARDS TO CHEDA

The City of Crookston will host multiple special meetings on Monday July 19 at City Hall in the Council Chambers. There will be a special City Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. followed by a special Crookston Housing & Economic Development Authority meeting held right after.

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

On the agenda for the special City Council meeting will be two authorizations to allow Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority Board, to exercise all powers necessary to act on the agenda items in the Special meeting that will be held right after in the Council Chambers. The Authorizations will also allow for the board to exercise all powers at the regular CHEDA meeting the following morning Tuesday July 20 at 7:00 a.m.

These authorizations are needed after City Council voted last Monday night to disassemble the CHEDA board at the City Council meeting, and thus leaving City Council as active members on the CHEDA board. The vote to approve the dissolution of CHEDA past 5 to 3 in favor.

SPECIAL CHEDA MEETING

The special CHEDA meeting will feature an election of all new officers for the positions of

  2. Vice President
  3. Treasurer
  4. Secretary
  5. Assistant Treasurer

The meeting will also feature a closed session for the reviewal of CHEDA Executive Director Craig Hoiseth. They will evaluate his performance to consider any potential discipline.

Following that the board will give direction to the staff about the new transition taking place.
