The City of Grand Forks will be picking up discarded Christmas trees from now until January 14. Residents are asked to leave trees on their berm with all wooden stands and plastic bags removed from the trees.
After January 14th, residents can also haul their discarded Christmas trees to one of the drop-off sites around town. The Christmas tree drop-off sites are located at the Public Works Facility, 724 N 47th Street, and by Williamson Field at 5th Ave. S. and Demers Ave.
The discarded Christmas trees will be recycled and used as covering at the landfill.
