CRAIG HRUBY NAMED RIVERVIEW HEALTH EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

A RiverView Health Plant Services maintenance technician, Craig Hruby is a jack-of-all-trades. He is credited with saving the organization money on outside vendors because he has the skills to get important jobs done without outside help. As a bonus, Craig does it all with a positive attitude.

Craig is RiverView’s Employee of the Month (EOM) for August for all of these reasons and more. A Thief River Falls native who moved to Crookston in 2015, Craig, has worked at RiverView for nearly five years. Before RiverView, Craig worked as an electrician for six years. Craig and wife Megan, a Crookston native who works for the University of Minnesota Extension, have three children: Jimmy, 11; Eden, 8; and Trigg, 5. The family resides in Crookston.

“I’m very grateful to even be considered for this award, let alone actually receive it,” he said of the EOM honor. “I’ve never worked anywhere that had awards for employees like RiverView does, so I’ve never gotten anything like this before; this was a complete, absolute shock. It’s nice to be considered by others for such a thing.

“Our department has a good bunch of people. It’s a good team,’ he went on to say. “Everyone has their specialty, but we all mesh well together. We learn a lot from each other, and everyone has a lot of patience, which is important, too.”
