Children and their families are invited to explore the local prairie with a two-part event featuring an author visit by “Plant a Pocket of Prairie” author Phyllis Root and a plantable paper-making activity with staff from the Paper Plains Art Cart. Offered free of charge, the programs will be held at the Crookston Public Library on Wednesday, June 22, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and at the Agassiz Environmental Learning Center, 400 Summit Ave SW, Fertile, MN, on Thursday, June 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
