Over 50 high school students, including nine Crookston High School students, came from as far away as Morocco for the Northern Great Plains Youth Institute held at the University of Minnesota Crookston on Monday, May 6.
The day included a major fair; opening remarks by UMC Chancellor Mary Holz-Clause; a keynote address by Mark Jirik, director of the Northern Crops Institute; round-table presentations; and immersion sessions.
