CROOKSTON AREA CHAMBER SCHEDULES CANDIDATE FORUM FOR THE UPCOMING GENERAL ELECTION

The Crookston Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Candidate Forum for local offices in preparation for the upcoming general election. The event will be held in the Crookston High School Auditorium on Tuesday, October 18, starting at 6:00 p.m. Candidates for the following offices have been invited: Crookston School Board, Crookston City Council, Crookston Mayor, Polk County Commissioner. Minnesota State House of Representatives District 1B, and Minnesota State Senate District 1.

The candidates will appear on stage in groups by the office they are seeking, in the order listed above. For each group, the candidates will be given a two-minute opening statement. After all opening statements are complete for that group, they will each be asked two questions and be given two minutes to answer each question. When the questions for the group are complete, the candidates will receive one minute for a closing statement.

The Chamber is currently requesting to have questions submitted for the candidates. Please make the questions applicable to the office rather than making them specific to an individual. During the forum, random questions will be chosen from those submitted. Please send your questions to info@visitcrookston.com. Tell us which office the question is for, and then list the question. The best questions will be chosen for the forum. Your question may be combined with others that are similar or deal with a similar topic.

The Candidate Forum will be live-streamed here on kroxam.com. You will be able to watch it live, and it will also be available on demand.

The Chamber would like to thank the City of Crookston, Crookston High School, and KROX for their assistance in making this event possible. If you have any questions regarding the Candidate Forum, please contact Mark Landa at 218-281-4320 or mlanda@visitcrookston.com.
