CROOKSTON BOY SCOUT TROOP 41 COMPLETES FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY AT GOLDEN LINK CENTER

The Crookston Boy Scout Troop 41 held a Flag Retirement Ceremony at the South Parking Lot of the Golden Link Center in Crookston, to retire seven flags that had been deemed unfit to be fitting emblems for display.

Masters of Ceremonies Life Scout Wyatt Marsyla and Star Scout Lennon Prudhomme welcomed the audience to the Ceremony and explained that the flags they had were no longer a fitting emblem for display due to them being damaged or too old now and that the proper and most respectful way to dispose of the flags were to burn them. The flags were individually unfolded by the troop onto a pole before being draped over a burning fire to give these flags their final resting place.

After the ceremony, the Troop and the Golden Link Center invited the audience inside the Center to enjoy ice cream, pie, and coffee.

Pictures of the Ceremony can be seen below-
